This year I celebrate 20 years of studying and working with healing energies, metaphysics and the creative process on every level. It is with great joy that I bring all this awareness into creating Empowerment Jewelry. It is my way to put healing energy out into the world in a tangible, wearable form - Jewels of Tara. I feel strongly that right intention adds to the essence and quality of each piece. Because of this, each piece uniquely supports the wearer and beautifies the environment where it exists.

 THE CREATION PROCESS:   In apprenticing on the shamanic path with a native American elder for over 8 years, one of the many things I was taught was how to create crafts in a sacred manner, with the highest of intentions, and how to work with crystals and stones for transformation and healing.  For me it is important that I create only when I am clear and happy so the the vibration of any piece of Empowerment Jewelry is bright and just plain feels good to wear.    It's beneficial to clear the space and materials energetically as well as my own energy.

When I begin a new piece, I do not have a preconception - I overview my collection and allow the stones that are ready to "call" to me.  By that I mean, they are the ones that make me feel good in that moment and appear most attractive to me, so these will be the stones that I work with. So you see, in every step of the process, I am following the energy. 

During the actual creation, i allow my intuition to guide the design. The energetic purpose of the piece unfolds as I go. Once the design is clear I hold a state of gratitude to Mother Earth for sharing the treasures of her waters (pearls & shells) and her body (gemstones & metals) with me. I am always in awe for her endless gifts and beauty. Often I will chant uplifting heart-opening songs and healing mantras while creating - everything is vibration and my belief in creating this work is why not add some good vibes along with more beauty into the world?!

WEARING EMPOWERMENT JEWELRY:  Aside from feeling gorgeous and fabulous, wearing these pieces means not only are you carrying light upon you (and within you naturally), but you are radiating light into the world, and that alone is a great service. Even the simplest of designs gathers attention and compliments for the wearers.  It should be easy when placing the jewelry on to remember to take a moment and recall the energy of the piece.  When I dress for the day, I will think, what do i need - protection, serenity, sunshine happiness, creative energy, groundedness, passion?  and then I will find the appropriate jewelry and the colors to wear that goes along with that energy. I find this is a good practice to bring mindfulness into every our everyday life -  this way our whole life becomes a prayer.

THE ENERGY - Most pieces will have names that reflect the energy I felt the stones could impart upon the wearer, based on the qualities and colors of the stones or pearls.  When I purchase the components I am looking for stones that radiate energy and attract me by their beauty, color, and potential for upliftment and healing.
